Tazkiyah

Purification of the Heart

The command to purify our hearts was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Makkah. Sayyidina Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) reported: "Rasulullah ﷺ said: 'Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions'." (Sahih Muslim 2564)
Shamā'il Al-Muhammadiyyah ﷺ - Part 1

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ ٭ إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّـهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ

“The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons. Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound heart."

Al Qur'aan, Surah Ash-Shu'ara (26), Ayah 88, 89.
